AN ACT Relating to historic preservation; creating a new section; and making an appropriation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. The legislature declares the preservation of Thorp Mill will provide significant historic, architectural, and cultural benefits to the people of the state and that the refurbishment and preservation of Thorp Mill is in the public interest.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. The sum of thirty thousand dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for the biennium ending June 30, 1991, from the general fund to the department of community development for the preservation of Thorp Mill, and shall be used as a loan or grant awarded in accordance with the criteria established for historic preservation grants under RCW 27.34.240.
