AN ACT Relating to the employment security department; making an appropriation; and declaring an emergency.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.     (1) There is hereby appropriated for the biennium ending June 30, 1991, from the unemployment compensation administration fund out of moneys made available to this state under section 903 of the federal social security act, as amended, the sum of nine hundred thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to be used under the direction of the commissioner of the employment security department for the purpose of purchasing land and constructing an office building in Port Angeles, and for such improvements, facilities, paving, landscaping, and fixed equipment as may be required for its proper use and operation by the employment security department.

          (2) No part of the moneys appropriated by this section may be obligated after the expiration of the two-year period beginning on the effective date of this act.

          (3) This appropriation is made pursuant to and is limited by the provisions of section 903-c(2) of the federal social security act as amended.

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.     This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, the support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and shall take effect immediately.
