AN ACT Relating to blood donors; and adding a new section to chapter 70.54 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 70.54 RCW to read as follows:

          A blood donor program established in this state to receive blood donations for medical purposes shall establish a procedure to honor a donor's request to have the blood donation directed for use to the donor or the donor's family member as specified by the donor.  The blood donor program may charge reasonable fees for directed blood donations to cover administrative costs.
