AN ACT Relating to child care for state employees; and making an appropriation.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.     (1) The sum of two hundred fifty thousand dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for the biennium ending June 30, 1991, from the general fund to the child care demonstration project for the purposes of establishing four new child care demonstration sites.  The four sites shall be located in Seattle, Tacoma, Vancouver, and in Eastern Washington.

          (2) The department of general administration shall consider any new or remodeled state-owned or state-leased buildings for use as potential child care demonstration sites.
