AN ACT Relating to parking restrictions; and adding a new section to chapter 47.26 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 47.26 RCW to read as follows:

          A city in which the state capitol is located shall not restrict parking on streets in residential areas within two thousand feet of the capitol campus boundaries to less than three hours, except on streets or portions of streets where parking is totally prohibited.  A city that violates this section is ineligible to receive funds under this chapter.
