AN ACT Relating to the taking of food fish and shellfish; and adding a new section to chapter 75.08 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 75.08 RCW to read as follows:

          In exercising the authority granted under RCW 75.08.080(1), the director shall require that waters closed for conservation purposes be closed to all users until the director determines that the taking of food fish or shellfish from such waters may resume.  Any unfulfilled quotas resulting from such closure shall be made up by special openings established by the director.
