AN ACT Relating to industrial insurance coverage for the horse racing industry; and creating a new section.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.     The house commerce and labor committee shall conduct a study of the industrial insurance coverage of employees in the horse racing industry.  The study shall review the current premium obligations of employers and any alternative methods for assessing premiums that ensure adequate premium collections for the coverage provided.  The committee shall report the results of the study to the house of representatives by December 1, 1989.
