AN ACT Relating to the state patrol; and adding a new section to chapter 43.43 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.43 RCW to read as follows:

          (1) The state patrol shall implement a physical fitness reimbursement program for commissioned officers that is based on prior approval and regular participation.  Participating officers shall be reimbursed a total of one hundred twenty dollars.

          (2) Commissioned officers who wish reimbursement shall submit receipts from licensed fitness centers to the patrol fiscal office by December 31st of each year.  The chief of the patrol shall implement necessary policies and procedures to ensure reimbursements comply with the intent of this section.
