AN ACT Relating to the use of tobacco products on public school property; and adding a new section to chapter 28A.31 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 28A.31 RCW to read as follows:

          Each school district board of directors shall adopt a written policy mandating a prohibition on the use of all tobacco products on public school property.  The directors may set the schedule for the development and enforcement of this policy, except that a total ban on the use of all tobacco products must be enforced by September 1, 1991.
