AN ACT Relating to the state building code; and adding a new section to chapter 19.27 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 19.27 RCW to read as follows:

          Buildings or structures moved into or within a county or city are not required to comply with all of the requirements of the codes enumerated in RCW 19.27.031, as amended and maintained by the state building code council, provided:

          (1) The original occupancy classification of the building or structure is not changed as a result of the move;

          (2) Any unsafe conditions, as determined by the appropriate building official are corrected; and

          (3) The moved building or structure will be less hazardous, based on life and fire risk.
