AN ACT Relating to children killed as a result of an abortion; adding a new section to chapter 68.50 RCW; and declaring an emergency.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.     This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, morals, or safety, or support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and shall take effect immediately.

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.  A new section is added to chapter 68.50 RCW to read as follows:

          The physical or bodily remains of any person from the time of fertilization, regardless of the descriptive term applied to the particular stage of biological development of such person, whose death is the result of the application of any abortion procedure or technique, shall not be sold, donated, or otherwise transferred for any use, but shall be disposed of as human remains by burial or cremation in accordance with the requirements of this chapter and chapter 70.58 RCW.
