AN ACT Relating to reporting of continuing education units; and adding a new section to Title 28A RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to Title 28A RCW to read as follows:

          Individuals who deliberately misrepresents or fraudulently report the number or completion of continuing education units as required in RCW 28A.71.110 shall have the number of fraudulently reported credits deducted from their total credits earned for placement on the salary allocation schedule.  The individual shall be required to reimburse the school district the amount of salary acquired through the date of discovery by the deliberate misrepresentation or fraudulent reporting of the continuing education credits, plus interest.
