AN ACT Relating to suspension of drivers' licenses of minors; adding a new section to chapter 46.20 RCW; and adding a new section to chapter 13.40 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 46.20 RCW to read as follows:

          The director shall suspend or restrict the driver's license of a juvenile for one year upon notification that the minor has been found guilty of a crime that involves causing physical damage to property of another by defacing the property with paint or a similar substance.

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.  A new section is added to chapter 13.40 RCW to read as follows:

          When a juvenile is found guilty of a crime that involves causing physical damage to the property of another by defacing the property with paint or similar substance, the prosecuting attorney shall notify the director of licensing that the juvenile's driver's license should be suspended.
