AN ACT Relating to the operation of passenger-only ferries; creating a new section; and declaring an emergency.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.     Using funds from the existing departmental budget, the department of transportation shall put into operation with all deliberate speed the passenger-only ferries already owned by the state of Washington for use on the Bremerton to Seattle run.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.     This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, or support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and shall take effect immediately.
