AN ACT Relating to state financing of modernization and construction of public schools; amending section 710, chapter 12, Laws of 1989 1st ex. sess.; and adding a new section to chapter 12, Laws of 1989 1st ex. sess. (uncodified).

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 12, Laws of 1989 1st ex. sess. (uncodified) to read as follows:

          FOR THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION

          Building and modernizing public schools

        Sec. 2.  Section 710, chapter 12, Laws of 1989 1st ex. sess. (uncodified) is amended to read as follows:

          FOR THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION

          Common school disbursement limit

          The appropriations in section 1 of this 1990 act and in sections 701 through 709 ((of this act)), chapter 12, Laws of 1989 1st ex. sess. (uncodified) as amended by Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill No. 6417, are subject to the following conditions and limitations:  A maximum of $((254,900,000)) 367,540,000 from the total of these appropriations may be disbursed during the 1989-91 biennium.
