AN ACT Relating to braille instruction for blind students; and adding a new section to Title 28A RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to Title 28A RCW to read as follows:

          Each school district board of directors shall adopt policies governing the provision of instruction in braille to visually impaired students who are legally blind.  The policies shall provide for instruction in braille, unless such instruction is determined not appropriate for the student.
