AN ACT Relating to higher education; adding a new section to chapter 28B.80 RCW; and making an appropriation.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 28B.80 RCW to read as follows:

          The higher education coordinating board shall study the need for upper division college classes in Clallam and Jefferson counties and alternatives for delivery of such classes.  The higher education coordinating board shall report its findings to the governor and both houses of the legislature by January 1, 1990.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.     The sum of twenty-five thousand dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for the biennium ending June 30, 1991, from the general fund to the higher education coordinating board for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this act.
