AN ACT Relating to recreational geoduck harvesting areas; and adding a new section to chapter 79.96 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 79.96 RCW to read as follows:

          The department of natural resources is hereby directed to establish two recreational geoduck harvesting areas:

          (1) One area shall be established by rule at a location of the department's choosing; and

          (2) One area shall be established in the aquatic lands adjacent to the east side of Cooper's Point, on Budd Inlet.
