AN ACT Relating to a cross-state centennial trail; and adding a new section to chapter 43.51 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.51 RCW to read as follows:

          In light of the major role railroads have played in the history of Washington state the legislature requests the state parks and recreation commission to identify, plan, and develop a cross-state centennial trail making use of abandoned railroad rights of way where available.
