AN ACT Relating to transfer of certain property managed by the department of natural resources to Skagit county; and creating a new section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.     The department of natural resources shall convey without cost to Skagit county for county fairground and other public purposes the entire portion of the state lands not directly adjacent to buildings on the Northern State Hospital site transferred to the department for management or disposition by chapter 178, Laws of 1974 ex. sess.  Any expenses related to the transfer shall be borne by the county.

          At such time as the department enters into an agreement with Skagit county as authorized by this section, the governor shall execute a quit claim deed for the conveyance of such land.
