AN ACT Relating to the provision of recycling receptacles in state park campgrounds; and adding a new section to chapter 43.51 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 43.51 RCW to read as follows:

          (1) The state parks and recreation commission, where cost-effective, shall provide recycling receptacles in each state park campground and in each state park facility area developed for day use.  The receptacles shall be clearly marked for the segregation and deposit of recyclable materials including but not limited to aluminum, glass, and paper products.

          (2) The commission is authorized to enter agreements with any person, company, or nonprofit organization to provide for the collection and transport of recyclable materials and related activities required under this section.
