AN ACT Relating to total program hour offerings in schools; adding a new section to chapter 28A.58 RCW; repealing RCW 28A.58.754; and providing an effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 28A.58 RCW to read as follows:
The powers and duties of the state board of education under RCW 28A.58.754 shall terminate on June 30, 1991. RCW 28A.58.754 is repealed effective June 30, 1992, as provided in section 2 of this act. The powers and duties of the state board of education under RCW 28A.58.754 shall be reviewed before termination under chapter 43.131 RCW.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. (1) Section 3, chapter 359, Laws of 1977 ex. sess., section 1, chapter 250, Laws of 1979 ex. sess., section 1, chapter 158, Laws of 1982 and RCW 28A.58.754 are each repealed.
