AN ACT Relating to insurance contracts; and adding a new section to chapter 48.30 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 48.30 RCW to read as follows:

          No person or entity engaged in the business of insurance in this state shall refuse to issue any contract of insurance or cancel or decline usual rate reductions to any homeowner based on the size of the city or town where those homeowners reside:  PROVIDED, That the city or town where those homeowners reside has an established police force scheduled for law enforcement activities and patrols twenty-four hours per day.
