AN ACT Relating to certificates of ownership for snowmobiles; and adding a new section to chapter 46.12 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 46.12 RCW to read as follows:

          The department shall issue a certificate of ownership valid for title purposes only to the owner of a snowmobile as defined in RCW 46.10.010.  The owner of a snowmobile shall apply for a certificate of ownership at the time of registration of the snowmobile as required by RCW 46.10.040.  The owner shall pay the fees established by RCW 46.12.040.
