AN ACT Relating to a Columbia river bridge study; and creating a new section.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.     The Washington state transportation commission shall conduct a study consisting of the feasibility of constructing a second bridge over the Columbia river parallel to the existing Lewis and Clark bridge at Longview, Washington (Columbia river bridge 433/1) and a preliminary traffic survey of the Hood river toll bridge to obtain the origin and destination of trips and traffic volumes.  The study shall be conducted in conjunction with affected local governments including the metropolitan planning organization, where appropriate.  The commission shall report its findings to the legislative transportation committee by December 1, 1990.
