                                   SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 8430

WHEREAS, Members of both houses of the Legislature have expressed an interest in some form of joint sponsorship of legislative bills; and

          WHEREAS, The Legislature is currently undertaking a major computer system design change that renders immediate adoption of a true joint bill procedure impractical at this time;

          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Senate of the State of Washington, the House of Representatives concurring, that each house shall provide an opportunity for its members to join as sponsors of bills that have passed the opposite house, and that the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives and the Secretary of the Senate shall implement the necessary procedures for the 1990 Legislative Session.
