If a required safety device or electrical protective device is found ineffective during normal operation the conveyance shall be immediately taken out of service. If the authorized mechanic or elevator company is found responsible for disabling the device(s) and placing the conveyance back into service they may have their license(s) suspended until they can demonstrate conformity to this chapter (examples include, but are not limited to: Safety circuit, door and gate, terminal slowdowns, door reopening devices, anti-egress devices, or over current protection devices).
