You need a temporary permit if you are an active out-of-state journey level plumber, domestic pump specialty plumber, or a residential specialty plumber residing in a state that does not have a reciprocal agreement with Washington and you would like to work as a plumber in Washington. Temporary permits are not issued for installers of medical gas piping systems.
Temporary permits are not issued for the backflow assembly maintenance and repair specialty. Therefore, WAC 296-400A-030 through
296-400A-033 do not apply to this specialty.
