A person serving as a teacher in a transition to kindergarten program must hold a valid teaching certificate in accordance with Title 181 WAC. Certificated educators with experience in early childhood education are recommended. Paraeducators for transition to kindergarten programs must have met the minimum hiring requirements and must make progress on the paraeducator certificate program in accordance with Title 179 WAC.
