Any public school district board member or any approved private school eligible to vote for a candidate for membership on the state board of education or any candidate for the position, within ten days after the superintendent of public instruction's reporting of election, may contest the election of a candidate
under chapter
29A.68 RCW. The request must be made in writing and received by the superintendent of public instruction.
