The authority for this chapter is RCW 28A.410.090 which authorizes the professional educator standards board to establish, publish, and enforce rules and regulations determining eligibility for and certification of personnel employed in the common schools of this state. This authority is supplemented by RCW 28A.410.090 which authorizes the revocation of certificates for unprofessional conduct. (Note: RCW 28A.02.201 (3)(a) requires most private school classroom teachers to hold appropriate Washington state certification with few exceptions.)
