Animals—Handling prohibition (2009 FDA Food Code 2-403.11).
(1) Except as specified in subsection (2) of this section,
foodemployees may not care for or handle animals that may be present such as patrol dogs,
service animals, or pets that are allowed as specified under WAC
246-215-06570 (2)(b) through (e).
(2)
foodemployees with
service animals may handle or care for their
service animals and
foodemployees may handle or care for
fish in aquariums or
molluscan shellfish or crustacean in display tanks if they wash their hands as specified under WAC
246-215-02305 and
246-215-02315.
