Requirements for obtaining an osteopathic physician assistant license for those who hold an active allopathic physician assistant license.

A person who holds a full, active, unrestricted physician assistant license that is in good standing issued by the Washington state medical quality assurance commission and meets current licensing requirements may apply for licensure as an osteopathic physician assistant through an abbreviated application process.
(1) An applicant for an osteopathic physician assistant license must:
(a) Hold an active, unrestricted license as a physician assistant issued by the Washington state medical quality assurance commission;
(b) Submit a completed application on forms provided by the board; and
(c) Submit any fees required under WAC 246-853-990.
(2) A physician assistant may not begin practice without written board approval of the delegation agreement.
