The medicaid agency uses the following sources to determine point-of-sale actual acquisition cost (POS AAC) including, but not limited to:
(1) National average drug acquisition cost (NADAC) published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS);
(2) Acquisition cost data made available to the agency by:
(a) Audit results from federal or state agencies;
(b) Other state health care purchasing organizations;
(c) Pharmacy benefit managers;
(d) Individual pharmacy providers participating in the agency's programs;
(e) Other third-party payers;
(f) Drug file databases; and
(g) Actuaries or other consultants.
