These standards and regulations shall apply to the following new and expanding public water systems:
(1) Those having more than 1,000 services. (See WAC
248-54-580.)
(2) Those with less than 1,000 services located within the boundaries of a critical water supply service area and subject to the requirement for a coordinated water system plan. (See WAC
248-54-580 and
248-56-700.)
Note: | Public water systems in existence prior to September 21, 1977, which are owner operated and serve less than ten single family residences; serving no more than one industrial plant; or are nonmunicipally owned with no plans for water service beyond their existing service area are exempt from the planning requirement. |
