(1) Pharmaceutical services area(s) must be accessible only to authorized personnel.
(2) A hospice care center must provide pharmacy services area(s) consistent with WAC
246-865-050 which include adequate space for:
(a) A work counter;
(b) A handwash sink;
(c) A soap and paper towel dispenser;
(d) Drug storage units constructed of metal, solid wood, or plywood which provide:
(i) Locked storage for all drugs;
(ii) Separate keyed storage for Schedule II through IV controlled substances;
(iii) Segregated storage for each patient's drugs;
(e) A lockable refrigerator for storage of heat sensitive drugs; and
(f) Other storage needed according to the hospice care center's functional program.
