(1) Every lift suspended by wire ropes shall have a car frame consisting of a crosshead, uprights (stiles) and a plank located approximately at the middle of the car platform and in no case farther from the middle than 1/8 of the distance from the front of the platform.

(2) Car frames shall be guided on each guide rail by upper and lower guiding members attached to the frame.

(3) Car frames and outside members of the platform shall be made of steel.
