(1) Application. The requirements of this chapter for textile safety apply to the design, installation, processes, operation, and maintenance of textile machinery, equipment, and other plant facilities in all plants engaged in the manufacture and processing of textiles, except those processes used exclusively in the manufacture of synthetic fibers.
(2) These standards must be augmented by the Washington state general safety and health standards, and any other regulations of general application which are or will be made applicable to all industries.
(3) The provisions of this chapter must prevail in the event of conflict with or duplication of, provisions contained in chapter
296-24 WAC, the general safety and health standards, chapter
296-62 WAC, the general occupational health standards, and chapter
296-800 WAC, the safety and health core rule book.
(4) WAC 296-24-012 and 296-800-360 must apply where applicable to this industry.
