(1) If the director determines that suspension of the certification of a business is necessary to prevent immediate harm to the public welfare, the business will be notified by personal service or certified mail, return receipt requested, of the suspension and the reasons therefor. The suspension shall take effect immediately upon receipt of the notice. The suspended business will be entitled to a hearing pursuant to chapter
326-08 WAC, but a written request for hearing must be made within twenty days of receipt of the notice of suspension.
(2) After the hearing, the presiding officer may recommend that:
(a) Suspension of certification remain in effect for up to one year;
(b) The suspension be removed; or
(c) That the business be decertified.
