The current American National Standard for Passenger Ropeways (ANSI B77.1) shall apply to the design, inspection, signing, and operation of all conveyances as interpreted by the director unless a request for waiver is submitted by the operator and a waiver is granted by the director. The current American National Standard for Passenger Ropeways (ANSI B77.1) will have an effective date one year after the standard is approved by the American National Standards Institute.
