The subject of any hearing conducted under the provisions of this chapter may participate in the hearing. However, in the event the inmate refuses to appear, the board will continue the hearing until the next available docket. The ISRB will notify the inmate that if they refuse to attend the next scheduled hearing, the hearing will be conducted in absentia and the board's decision will be based on all available evidence.
