The SAT, ACT, IB and AP comparison option is an objective alternative assessment authorized in RCW
28A.655.061 (10)(b) that allows a student to use a score from the following tests to demonstrate that the student has met or exceeded the state standard for English language arts, science or mathematics on:
(1) The English language arts, science or mathematics component as designated by superintendent, of the SAT (science not applicable) or ACT; or
(2) International Baccalaureate or advanced placement examinations listed in WAC
392-501-104(2).
