NOTICE OF APPEAL(RCW 34.05.330(3))
On July 26, 2000, the governor received an appeal dated July
25, 2000, of the denial by the Department of Fish and Wildlife on
June 26, 2000, of a Petition to Adopt, Amend or Repeal Rules
regarding prospecting using hand-held pans, the minimum age of a
person who can work an excavation site, and certain restrictions
on prospecting and mining that occurs above the ordinary high
water line. The denied petition was dated May 12, 2000, and was
filed by the Northwest Mining Association and Vernon Young. DATED: July 31, 2000
