INSURANCE COMMISSIONER
Subject of Possible Rule Making: Annual statement filing instructions.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 48.02.060.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Filing of the quarterly financial statements of insurers with the NAIC is an NAIC accreditation standard and this amendment will bring the rule into compliance. In addition the filing of the quarterly financial statements with the NAIC will assist the insurance commissioner in monitoring the financial condition of domestic insurers.
