Subject: Authorization number for medical inpatient detoxification (MID) services.
Effective Date: March 10, 2004.
Document Description: Retroactive to dates of service on and after March 1, 2004, hospitals must bill using one of the authorization numbers listed in this memorandum in order to receive reimbursement for inpatient medical detoxification services provided to medical assistance clients. Providers may use these authorization numbers only when the medical inpatient detoxification (MID) criteria outlined in this memorandum have been met.
