Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 74.08.090, 74.09.500.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The department is proposing to amend WAC 388-550-1050 Hospital services definitions and other sections in chapter 388-550 WAC, Hospital services, in order to update policy, add definitions, and ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity regarding inpatient and outpatient hospitals and hospital-related services.
Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: The Health and Recovery Services Administration will coordinate with other agencies as applicable.
Process for Developing New Rule: The department invites the interested public to review and provide input on the draft language of this rule. Draft material and information about how to participate may be obtained from the department representative listed below.
