PREPROPOSAL STATEMENT OF INQUIRY

     Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 296-150F WAC, Factory-built housing and commercial structures.

     Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: Chapter 43.22 RCW.

     Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The purpose of this rule making is to amend the factory-built housing and commercial structure rules in order to be consistent with the statute. The definition of factory-building house [factory-built housing] and commercial structures will be amended to be consistent with the statute.

     Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.

     Process for Developing New Rule: The department will solicit input from the factory assembled structure board. Other interested parties and the public may also participate by providing written comments or giving oral testimony during the public hearing process.
