Notice of Public Hearing


     A public hearing on the matter of withdrawal of Human Services Council/Southwest Washington Agency on Aging (HSC/SWAA) Area Agency on Aging (AAA) designation will be held November 27, 2007, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Vancouver National Historic Reserve, 1115 East 5th, Vancouver, WA. This hearing will be governed by the "Withdrawal of AAA Designation and Hearing Procedures," copies of these procedures can be obtained from Deborah Bennett at (360) 725-2543. At this hearing, interested parties, including HSC/SWAA, will have the opportunity to provide documentation and testimony in support of, or in opposition to, withdrawal of HSC/SWAA's AAA designation. The testimony of individuals, other than a designated representative for HSC/SWAA, will be limited to five minutes per person.

     Written comments in support of, or in opposition to, withdrawal of HSC/SWAA's AAA designation may be provided by any party up to adjournment of the public hearing. Prior to the hearing, written comments may be submitted to: DSHS Rules Coordinator, P.O. Individuals providing testimony or submitting written comments are asked to direct their testimony or comments to one or more of the five grounds for de-designation listed in the notice, however, individuals are not required to limit testimony or comments to those particular subjects.
