     Subject of Possible Rule Making: Sex education - definition and requirements for providing.

     Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 28A.300.040.

     Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Revision of WAC 392-410-140 go [to] reflect provisions of ESSB 5297 related to newly defined requirements for sexuality education in public schools in Washington state.

     Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: State department of health (DOH) is required to review sexuality education programs for medical and scientific accuracy. DOH staff will review drafting of rules for consistency with agency responsibilities.
