     Title of Rule and Other Identifying Information: WAC 16-390-060 What are the fees for inspecting beans, peas, lentils, hay and straw?

NOTICE

     THIS RULE IS BEING PROPOSED UNDER AN EXPEDITED RULE-MAKING PROCESS THAT WILL ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR THE AGENCY TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS, PREPARE A SMALL BUSINESS ECONOMIC IMPACT STATEMENT, OR PROVIDE RESPONSES TO THE CRITERIA FOR A SIGNIFICANT LEGISLATIVE RULE. IF YOU OBJECT TO THIS USE OF THE EXPEDITED RULE-MAKING PROCESS, YOU MUST EXPRESS YOUR OBJECTIONS IN WRITING AND THEY MUST BE SENT TO Teresa Norman, Washington State Department of Agriculture, P.O.      Purpose of the Proposal and Its Anticipated Effects, Including Any Changes in Existing Rules: This proposal is the result of the department's ongoing commitment to review and revise its rules, when necessary, as mandated by Executive Order 97-02. The purpose of this rule is to update the WAC references cited in WAC 16-390-060 What are the fees for inspecting beans, peas, lentils and straw? The citations that are referenced in the WAC are out of date and must be updated with the current references. No substantive changes are made to WAC 16-390-060.

     Reasons Supporting Proposal: The WAC references cited in WAC 16-390-060 must be updated so that interested parties may easily find the information cited in the WAC.

     Statutory Authority for Adoption: RCW 15.17.030 and chapter 34.05 RCW.

     Statute Being Implemented: RCW 15.17.030.

     Rule is not necessitated by federal law, federal or state court decision.
